Mexican Culture
Introduction:
Mexico is very cultural in many ways. It’s a country with many things to be known by such as: its foods, religions, its legends, education, and its Caribbean like locations. It's got a lot in common with other cultures also.


History/ Religion:
For religion Mexico was know to have the Mayans, and Aztecs. Mayans originated at around 2600 B.C.E. The Mayan culture and religion was over around 900 C.E.Aztecs originated at the same time Mayans did except they were destroyed by the Spanish empire in 1547. The Spanish are the ones that brought over Catholicism. In the Mexican culture of today more then 90% of Mexicans are catholic. That makes Mexico the second biggest country to be a catholic religion next to Brazil. Mexican culture has our lady de Guadalupe because she is the most popular and religious not to mention cultural image of Mexico. She was well respected even after the Mexican independence war.

Food:
Something everyone likes in the Mexican culture is the food. Weather its the basic beans, and corn, or a Mexican dishes that includes burritos, enchiladas, tamales, tortas, and what the Mexican culture is know for, there tacos. Corn is one of the most important things in the recipe. Without corn you can't make miaz and with miaz they make tortillas and other things like tamales. In the Mexican culture the people who invented all these things were our ancestors which were the Mayans and the Aztecs. Nachos are the most popular food outside of Mexico. For beverages there are aquas frescas, jamiaca, horchata, and choclate. Choclate was invented in Mexico by the Aztecs.

Tourism:
Mexico is very cultural and has many beautiful places to be if you want to live or visit for vacation. Its one of the most visited and toured places in the world. This culture is famous for places like Cancun, Mazatlan, D.F, Guadalajara, and Acapulco. One of the most cultural states of Mexico is Jalisco. In Its city Guadalajara mariachi was born and it's what represents the entire country. There are many places to shop here and very huge resorts to spend a vacation at. The malls and flashing lights make it seem as if you were in las vegas. In this country you get that Caribbean feel because of its open beaches and clear waters.

Traditions:
In the Mexican culture traditions are always celebrated with fun and joy. Mexicans celebrate The day of the dead, Cinco De Mayo, Mexican independence day, and many more. The day of the dead is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd. On the second people dress up in costumes and go to the cemetery and visit the dead people. Cinco de mayo is celebrated with festivals, parties and parades to honor the day that Mexico won the war against the French. Mexican independence day is the most important because it’s when Mexico regained independence from Spain in the war. Since religion is very important in this culture and there is a lot of Catholics Christians and Easter is celebrated the same way.
